Decred DCR Mining Revenue

Welcome to the 0% fee Decredpool! For ccminer stratum+tcp://stratum. This pool has been updated to the latest DCR v1.0.10 & DDoS attacks have been.

A quick reminder that in a few hours the official launch of, a new interesting PoW/PoS altcoin is happening. Decred is currently running on testnet with the official launch of the mainnet planned on 12:00 PM CST February 8th, 2016 – you can watch. Here crypto currency uses Blake256 14-rounds algorithm for mining and there is a cgminer fork () already available, though currently only getwork is supported and not stratum. The cgminer for Decred GPU mining is available below, compiled for 64-bit Windows, ready for mining solo or on some of the mining pools for DCR.

This cgminer works on both AMD and Nvidia GPUs as the currently available ccMiner forks from tpruvot and sp do not yet have support for Decred even though they do have support for Blake256 14-rounds algorithm. List of mining pools for Decred (DCR): – – – – – – – – List of exchanges to trade Decred (DCR): – – – – If you manage to catch the official launch it is better to start by solo mining with a local wallet as this might be more profitable at the start and then switch to some of the available Decred (DCR) mining pools. This might be a bit of a challenge however as there is no yet a GUI wallet for the coin, so you will need to use the console version of the wallet to make things work before you are able to start mining solo. There are already binaries available for the wallet, but they are password protected and the password will be posted at the coin’s launch.

So you have a few hours to get everything downloaded and ready for the official launch, you can even test on the testnet before the launch of the main network to make sure everything is working properly. Can You Still Mine Experience Points XP 2018 here. Is a new open, progressive, and self-funding crypto currency with a system of community-based governance integrated into its blockchain. At its core is a hybridized proof-of-work proof-of-stake (PoW/PoS) consensus system that aims to strike a balance between PoW miners and PoS voters to create a more robust notion of consensus.

The project is a result of the theoretical proposals brought by proof-of-activity (PoA) and MC2 in 2013. Decred development started in April, 2014 with a single developer and expanded to include developers from btcsuite shortly thereafter. Decred is currently running on testnet preparing for the launch of the mainnet on 12:00 PM CST February 8th, 2016. There crypto currency uses Blake256 14-rounds algorithm for mining and there is a cgminer fork () already available for testing, though currently only getwork is supported and not stratum. The cgminer for Decred GPU mining is available below compiled for 64-bit Windows ready for testing on some of the few currently available mining pools that also run on the testnet (will be switching to mainnet after the official launch). The cgminer works on both AMD and Nvidia GPUs as the currently available ccMiner forks from tpruvot and sp do not currently work with Decred even though they do have support for Blake256 14-rounds mining. Trying out the cgminer for Decred (DRC) on an Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 has shown an average hashrate of about 1.3 GHS and trying the miner on an AMD Radeon R9 280X has shown a hashrate of about 1.3 GHs as well with both runningn at stock frequencies.

There is already quite a lot of interest and a large community forming around the Decred crypto currency even before the official launch, so this is something that is worth checking out if you still have not heard about it. Also make sure you get ready for the official launch of the coin on Monday. Copyright ©2014-2018 - - All About BTC, LTC, ETH mining as well as other alternative crypto currencies. Proof-of-Work (PoW) Mining Overview Proof-of-work mining, more commonly referred to as PoW mining, is the activity of committing your computer’s hardware and resources to process network transactions and build the blocks that make up the blockchain in the Decred network.

Each time a block is created (by a miner), about 30 new Decred coins are made. These coins are then split up as follows: Subsidy Party 60% PoW Miners 30% PoS Voters 10% Decred development subsidy You will, on average, receive a reward that is roughly proportional to the hashrate of your miner and the overall hashrate of the network when you commit your computer to PoW mining. To get started, you must have a computer with a video card. Most video cards can be used for mining (including the “mobile” types found in some laptops). In general, higher end video cards perform at higher hashrates and therefore receive higher rewards. Solo Mining or Pool Mining Solo Mining Solo mining is not recommended and is not covered by this documentation! The Decred network regularly sees a network hash rate of up to 10,000Gh/s.

Solo mining is generally only done by advanced individuals or organized groups with a large cluster of GPUs so it is not addressed here. Pool Mining When you mine in a pool, your hashrate is combined with all the other pool miners’ hashrates to look for the correct solution for a block. You will receive a reward based on the amount of work your miner performs in the pool. Pool mining distributes shares based on blocks found so you can earn a steady amount of Decred rather than the “all or none” of solo mining. Obtain a Decred Address to Receive Funds With Follow the guide and create an address so you can withdraw mining rewards to it.

Sign up for a Mining Pool These mining pools are known to support Decred: • • • • • • • Mining pools all work more or less the same but you may wish to sign up at multiple pools and see which one suits you the best. Please choose to mine on a smaller pool so the network’s hashrate can be spread out for better decentralization of mining power! GPU Drivers/Software GPU drivers usually contain the libraries needed for mining. If you have difficulties running the software you may wish to re-install and specifically check that the OpenCL (AMD) or CUDA (NVIDIA) libraries are selected. Select and Download Mining Software Official Decred Miner (gominer) Gominer is the official Decred miner developed and supported by the Decred team.

It is the easiest miner to setup and start mining and so it is recommended for most users. Currently, the latest version of gominer is and the official binaries can be downloaded from Please be certain to select the correct operating system (Windows/Linux) and the correct version for your GPU type (CUDA for NVIDIA cards, OpenCL/OpenCLADL for AMD cards). Gominer is only available to 64-bit operating systems.

User guides to start mining with gominer can be found here: • Unofficial Miners • - cgminer is a popular miner for AMD GPUs that has a long history of use in many different cryptocurrencies. It is more difficult to use than the decred gominer. • - ccminer is a popular miner for NVIDIA GPUs that has a long history of use in many different cryptocurrencies. It is more difficult to use than the decred gominer. • - Those with an AMD graphics card running Windows may want to download sgminer. Running the Software • Decompress and install the software to a place of your choosing.

• Open a command prompt to that path. • Follow your mining pools instructions for setup. • Run the miner.
