I was asking same questions that you have outline in your post, namely, about the loss of brand equity as a result of the name change. Generally, I think the developers did quite a good job with the rebranding, but I fully agree with you that there should have been more involvement of the community in this process.
Part of such lack of communication with the community, in my view, lies in the absence of strong community movement driving the coin. Now that we have created XDN Foundation, this will change. The community will now be at the forefront of the movement and all the decision will be done collectively. Moreover, part of the reason for such frequent rebranding is little perceived brand equity loss by the developers. The XDN Foundation is focused on promoting Digitalnote in the marketplace by building its brand equity, among other things. With our marketing plan put in place, XDN brand awareness and trust should grow exponentially.
