Monero can't be hacked to steal your funds, due to the power of distributed consensus. This means that you are responsible for your own money, and don't have to trust any entity to keep it safe for you.

Monero is private. The power of the blockchain usually increases security at the cost of privacy, but with Monero's sophisticated privacy-centric technology, you get all of the security benefits of the blockchain without any of the privacy trade-offs. Monero is untraceable. By taking advantage of ring signatures, Monero makes it ambiguous which funds have been spent, and thus extremely unlikely that a transaction could be linked to any particular user. Monero is fungible.

Because of its on-by-default privacy technologies, Monero is fungible, which means that one Monero will always be equal to another. This ensures that there will be no discrimination over the origin or history of your coins, lessening the worry of potential blacklisting by exchanges or vendors. Monero Communities Other Communities • • • • • • •. Hi, last week I put some effort into creating a webpage which lets you mine Monero in your Browser to a pool of your choice. I'm not using coinhive, everything was created from scratch. I think such a webpage can be helpful to get people into mining. No account required, you put your address in the address field, select a pool and click 'Start mining'. Since I had no html/css/javascript knowledge the project is still in its early stage of development.

The miner is quite slow compared to a standalone executable but I will improve it in the future. I would like to ask for help testing the webpage and also the server which communicates with the pools. Just mine a few minutes (10% pool fee, because I also have to test the fee system) and report any errors.

Definition Of Peercoin PPC Mining there. I will leave the server open for 1 or 2 days (or until it chrashes:) ), you can find the page here: EDIT: GOT A DOMAIN Thank You! I'm just getting 'Error: Cannot connect to pool' Maybe the pool is down. Or I misconfigured the pool information. I will have a look into the log-files. It apparently works, but the performance is way worse than coinhive. Will you make this open source?and coinhive is already bad. I will speed it up and probably make it open source.

Also curious, did you use an existing mining software such as wolfs cpu miner, claymore, easy miner? Or did you build a miner yourself from scratch?

Sorry for my misleading 'from scratch' - I used the official Monero implementation as a base. We definitely need an open source implementation of the cryptonight algorithm for webassembly. Great project. I tried it on my laptop, xmr stak cpu reports 10 hs each thread on 2 threads. Your miner reports 10hs total on 2 threads and at monerohash. Great start though!! I have been looking for something like this for a pool i support.

I would like to use it as a gateway to mining for newbies. Pointed at a specific pool. Is this something i would be able to host on my own website for example?

Doesnt matter eitherway just curious. Thumbs up from me, will be following your progress. Id love to contribute but am no programmer.
